Information overload is a real thing. It’s simultaneously overwhelming and terrifying, and our modern lives are fundamentally shaped to induce it at every moment. The technology that we all depend upon is the cause. We have to know what’s happening at every given moment. Even while writing this paragraph, I checked Reddit, Twitter and Facebook at least once.
