Switchfoot looks back on early-2000s hype

Nine albums and almost two decades in, San Diego-based alt rockers Switchfoot have been around the block. You may recall their early 2000s hits “Dare You to Move” and “Meant to Live” … and their lyrics' probable appearances in your friends’ AOL profiles. That’s not to mention Switchfoot’s total domination of 2002’s A Walk to Remember soundtrack and subsequent explosion in popularity. You know you cried middle school tears over star-crossed lovers Jamie and Landon (a.k.aMandy Moore and Shane West). The telescope scene … our young hearts collectively just couldn’t.
