ZomBees Has People Swarming To Fund Charities

Shoot zombies and save the world – isn’t this everyone’s idea of a good time? Seriously, anyone not keen on fighting off the apocalypse has clearly gone over to the side of the living dead.

Well, here’s a chance to indulge our collective fantasy. The battle is entirely real – maybe looks slightly different than you’d picture – and you actually do get to help save the world…

ZomBees is a new third-person shooter app that’s both fun and connects people working to make the world a better place. Players follow PheeBee and other bee heroes who try to survive the zombee apocalypse, and earn bees and points from leveling up – that can be used to fund chosen charities. 100% of game revenue (from ads and in-app purchases) goes toward campaigns intended to affect positive change.

The free, mobile game is now available on iOS and Android devices. ZomBees is only the first one of the “Games of Charity” created by Bee The Swarm, a company which strives to harness the powers of social networking and the joys of mobile gaming for higher purposes.

ZomBees features new campaigns every day, which allow players to support efforts to do things like print 3D prosthetic limbs for children, feed the homeless and prevent an endangered zebra from becoming extinct.

Bee The Swarm welcomes campaigns under the following categories: Animals, Arts, Community, Disaster Relief, Education, Environment, International and Medical. Instead of pouring energies into the exhaustive work of building campaigns on their own, charitable organizations – people looking to gain awareness for local issues – only have to fill out a campaign sign-up form to get funded on ZomBees.

Assist the poor, save the rainforest, fight cancer… there are so many worthy causes that need support, so many urgent problems we need to address together. Trying to figure out where and how to help can be overwhelming. Not to mention, feeling like you have to choose between charities because you can’t give to them all is a crummy spot to be in.

Joining the swarm to fend off the ZomBee apocalypse, on the other hand, is a delightful (annnd addictive) way to pitch in just by having fun. Knowing that you just need to pick up your phone and play a game to make a difference is tremendously empowering.

So, if you’re looking to do more good in the world and play games – or, if you’re eager for a platform that will attract attention to your cause – buzz over to beetheswarm.com. And if you love what Bee The Swarm is up to and are interested in joining their hive, be sure to explore opportunities on their Fundable page.
