Xiaomi Drops the Price to Redmi Note 4G to Rs 7999

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4G was announced towards the end of last year and created a huge buzz in the Indian market as there was no real competition for Redmi Note in India. The device was priced Rs 9999 for the 4G LTE variant. It was Xiaomi’s very first 4G device to be introduced in India, with support for both 4G bands: FDD-LTE (Band 3 – 1800 MHz) and TDD-LTE (Band 40 – 2300 MHz). It was the 1st dual-band 4G device to be launched under Rs. 10,000 in India.

The phone comes with 5.5 inch HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 400 Quad core processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Today, the company has reduced the price of Redmi Note 4G to Rs 7999.

The Redmi Note 4G faces stiff competition from Lenovo A7000, K3 Note and also Honor 4X which are priced in the same category. Previously the company had reduced the price of Mi4 to Rs 14999 as a part of celebrations. The Redmi Note 4G also comes with 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera and is powered by Android KitKat with MIUI 6.

Starting today, Redmi Note 4G will be available for Rs. 7,999 on Mi.com and across Mi India partners including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Stores and Airtel stores. The Rs 2000 price drop will make Redmi Note 4G more attractive for buyers even though it comes with only single SIM card.
