Micromax Announces Canvas LapTab with Windows 8.1

Micromax has today announced a new hybrid device, called Canvas LapTab which the company calls between a Laptop and a Tablet. The Canvas LapTab comes with a 10.1 inch touchscreen WXGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.83Ghz Quad Core Intel Atom processor.

There is 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage included in the device. At just 1.1Kg, the LapTab is really light weight and features Windows 8.1. This means you can use it like your laptop as well as it can be docked to a keyboard.

The LapTab comes with a fanless design and features one USB port and a micro USB port. A SIM card slot is also included which means you can use 3G on this tablet. On the imaging front it has 2MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. It also comes with free Office 365.

The 2 in one device comes with 10 hours of battery life which is again pretty good. The battery capacity 7700mAh battery.

LapTab

The Canvas LapTab is priced Rs 14999 and available exclusively on Amazon starting May 6th. There is no mention of retail availability as of now.
