Vice's TV ambitions jump forward with $100 million Canadian deal

Vice is ready for primetime.


The rapidly growing media empire, helmed by CEO Shane Smith, has signed a $100 million deal with a Canadian cable provider to launch a 24-hour television channel in 2015



The joint venture with Rogers Communications includes plans for a television studio based in Toronto, which will help launch Vice TV Network, according to Canadian Business magazine.
