Twitter for Windows has been in the Windows Store since 2013, but havent seen any major updates for past couple of years. Now that Microsoft has released the final version of Windows 10, Twitter has updated the Windows app with new features. The new Twitter for Windows 10 is live on the store and you can download the app.
Some of the changes to the version include ability to view videos and other media files in the tweet, you can also favorite tweet from the app.
You can view Tweets with Twitter photos, Vine videos, and other select content and they show a preview in your home timeline. Share photos privately in Messages You can reply, retweet, favorite, or follow someone straight from a Tweet in your home timeline. There is option to upload multiple photoso to a single Tweet. You can also upload animated gifs and view in your home timeline. Conversations are easy to find and join. Reply, retweet or favorite straight from a Tweet.
While there are some new improvements, features like quote a retweet and lists are missing in this version of the app. Twitter has not been active with the development of the app on Windows, but now with Windows 10 we might see some updates coming in.
