You might have noticed that, since 2022, AMD has released several products with the "3D" suffix, usually also claiming crazy performance improvements. The very first AMD 3D CPU was Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and the chipmaker then built upon that success with a range of chips belonging to the Ryzen 7000 lineup, culminating in the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D.
